Moakley Park Clean-Ups

Monthly clean-up days are offered on the third Saturday of the month from March through October and are the most popular way for volunteers to get involved in the park. Activities vary depending on the season, and may include picking up trash, raking leaves, clearing garden beds, or planting bulbs in the fall. Volunteers can register in advance through Eventbrite.

DCR Park Serve Day

Park Serve Day is a state-wide day of service that occurs each year close to Earth Day in April. Park Serve Day invites volunteers to lend a hand in Massachusetts State Parks and help get them ready for the busy spring and summer season. Moakley Park is just steps away from DCR’s Carson Beach, with these two park areas together forming the largest waterfront recreational area in the City of Boston. Follow the link below to learn more about Park Serve Day and find out how you can get involved in this year’s day of service at Carson Beach.

“What an absolutely fantastic day yesterday!  Everything seemed to go just perfectly and according to plan.  The weather couldn’t have been more cooperative, and although I know there will always be more clean-up to be done, hopefully the amount of trash which was removed made an impact.  It was truly a pleasure working with you and all of the staff from NPS/BHN/DCR”
