SUMMARY:Bike Town
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a free family-friendly Bike Town pop-up\, where youth can learn to ride and participate in on-bike activities to improve their safe bike riding skills. \nLocated at the Moakley Park Bike Town in South Boston\, this three-hour drop-in event is for families and children ages 4-12 who want to learn to ride and practice their riding skills. A variety of different sized bikes and helmets will be provided\, and staff will be present to lead on-bike games and teach bike riding skills and safe riding tips and techniques.

SUMMARY:Bioblitz with Save the Harbor
DESCRIPTION:Join Harley Monteiro\, Boston Harbor Now\, and Save the Harbor/Save the Bay for a bioblitz across the park and beach. During this event\, participants will document plants\, birds\, and insects by uploading photographs to the iNaturalist phone application. Meet at the Carson Beach Bathhouse\, and we’ll go from there.  \n\nWhat is a Bioblitz? \nA bioblitz is a collective effort to record as many species as possible at a specific place and time. Bioblitzes are a great way for citizen scientists to connect with the environment while creating useful data for science and conservation. \nWhy Moakey? Why Now? \nThe proposed renovations to Moakley Park will add plant and habitat diversity. The project team is interested in documenting the existing plants\, birds\, and insects to understand how the park landscape changes with the improvements. \n\nUnable to attend this event but your group is interested?
